About Tom Rideout
Registered Maine Guide

Tom was born and grew up in Maine. He has been a Master Registered Maine Guide for over 30 years and owned and operated Bosebuck Mountain Camps on Aziscoos Lake for 18 years. He presently works full-time as editor and publisher of New Hampshire Outdoor Gazette and writes a syndicated outdoor column, “Nature Notes,” for local newspapers. When not behind a desk he spends as much time as his job allows outdoors with his dog Violet.
The area surrounding his cottage in Wilsons Mills has been his playground since he was a lad hunting and fishing with his father. With close to 50 years on the ground in that area there are few places his feet have not tread and he can honestly say he “knows it like the back of his hand.”
